YONKERS, N.Y. -- Yonkers Police detectives have released photos from surveillance cameras of the suspect in the robbery that occurred on Wednesday at the Citizens Bank located at 2371 Central Park Ave.
A lone suspect displayed what appeared to be a handgun and fled the bank with an undetermined amount of currency at around 3:30 p.m, police said. No injuries were reported at the scene. An extensive canvass of the area was conducted by members of the First Precinct and Emergency Service Unit, but no suspect was located.
The suspect is described as a black male who had white paint on his face. He was described as wearing a red or orange baseball hat (which also had white paint marks) and a gray Boston Bruins sweatshirt, police said.
