WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – A Sleepy Hollow man was arrested and charged Friday with trying to attack a co-worker at the Esplanade Hotel with a knife, according to a police report.

Karim Adrian Clarke, 29, was charged with second-degree menacing and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, both misdemeanors.

The victim, 20, told police he had an argument with a co-worker that became physical. After the brief altercation, the report said the suspect took a 6-inch knife from his washing station and approached the victim. Clarke was holding the knife in his right hand in a “stabbing motion”, the report said.

The victim later told police he was fearful for his safety and thought Clarke was going to harm him, but another hotel employee stepped in between the two and was able to separate them, according to the report.

Clarke was held for court.
