Ibrahim Chihimie, 42, entered the vestibule when he saw the exterminator, who was calling the building’s superintendent, police said. The suspect told him he would not let him inside and then the two exchanged words as he entered the building, police said.
Chihimie turned back on the other side of the glass door, held up his hand up while telling the victim he would “give him one of these if he didn’t shut up,” police said.
The suspect left, then came back to the vestibule and attacked the victim, causing him to fall backwards against the glass door, and elbowing him in the back of the neck, police said. The victim suffered bruising and scratches.
Chihimie was arrested and charged with assault, a misdemeanor, and held on $500 bail.
