Man Dies Of Injuries After Route 117 Crash In Mount Pleasant

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- A 20-year-old motorcyclist from Ossining died of injuries on Tuesday after colliding with a car on Route 117, according to Mount Pleasant police.

The motorcycle operator was identified as Bastian Pasten, police said.

Lt. Robert Miliambro, a spokesman for the Mount Pleasant Police Department, said the cause of the crash -- which closed down Route 117 in both directions between Route 9 and Route 448 -- is being investigated with assistance from the Westchester County.Police Accident Investigation Unit. 

Route 117 was reopened about five hours after the 11 a.m. accident, police said.
