Man Charged With DWI Following Wrong Way Crash On Bronx River Parkway

YONKERS, N.Y. -- A Yonkers man was charged with driving while intoxicated after allegedly driving the wrong way on the Bronx River Parkway in Greenburgh on Saturday and hitting another vehicle head-on, according to Westchester County Police.

Hernando Biron, 42, was allegedly driving south in the northbound lanes of the Bronx River Parkway collided with a 2004 Ford sedan. Biron allegedly failed a field sobriety test at the scene and was later released on $100 bail, police said. 

The driver of the other vehicle, Steven Tally, 49, was taken to Westchester Medical Center for treatment of non-life threatening-injuries, police said.
