Man Charged With Disorderly Conduct In White Plains

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – A Mahopac man was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct for instigating fights in a White Plains parking lot in the early morning hours Sunday, according to a police report.

The Wet Lake Boulevard man, 24, tried to fight several people in the public parking lot on 25 Waller Ave. around 4:30 a.m., pushing and shoving them in a violent manner, the report said. Officers saw this while on patrol and he was separated from the dispute, but began yelling and cursing in an attempt to start a fight with others, police said.

Police ordered him to leave the area and go home several times, the report said. But, as he continued to yell, a crowd of passersby formed to see what was happening, which police said caused public alarm.

A friend of the suspect was eventually able to force him into a car and drive off. The report said the car made it to Maple Avenue before he jumped out of it while still moving.

He was arrested and held for court.
