Man Accused Of Whipping White Plains Woman

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. — A White Plains woman told police her boyfriend whipped her with an electrical cord during an argument, according to a police report.

Esnayder Abreu, 21, of Greenburgh, was arrested early Sunday on the scene and charged with third-degree assault and third-degree menacing, both misdemeanors.

Police responded to a report of a domestic dispute on Fisher Avenue. A 23-year-old woman told them her live-in boyfriend, the father of her 7-year-old son, made unwanted contact and verbally abused her before striking her with an electrical cord.

She suffered redness and swelling to her right arm, but refused medical treatment.

White Plains Police contacted the New York State child abuse hot line and filed a case.
