Gregory Montes was arrested about 2:30 a.m. Sunday near Exit 19, according to police.

Troopers responded to the area after receiving reports of a disabled vehicle in the road. While investigating, troopers found Montes unconscious behind the wheel of a 2003 Volkswagen Passat with the ignition running and the lights on, according to police.

After police removed Montes and the car safely, they arrested the 49-year-old and took him to the state police barracks in Tarrytown, where his blood alcohol content was measured at 0.22 percent, or nearly three times the legal limit, police said.

Montes was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, and later released without bail. Police said he is to appear in Harrison Town Court at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday.
