WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – A Neiman Marcus employee was arrested and charged with stealing $982 worth of merchandise from her place of work, according to a police report.

While working Sept. 7, a loss prevention agent told officers Pauline Krivelin, 43, entered the store’s designer jewelry department and took two Michael Kors watches, then went to the second-floor stockroom, police said. When she left the stockroom, the watches were not there, the report says, and she proceeded to take one pair of earrings from a display.

A few hours later at the end of her shift, Krivelin tried to leave the store using the employee exit, but was stopped and taken into custody by store security, who found the stolen items in the suspect’s pocketbook, the report says. The items were recovered and she was arrested.

Krivelin was charged with petit larceny and is being held on $500 bail.
