WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. — A homeless man was accused of stealing four watches worth $264.88 from Nordstrom Rack in the White Plains City Center, according to a police report.

James Woodley, 53, was detained at 2:08 p.m. Tuesday by store security officers, who told police he took three Betsey Johnson watches and one Fossil watch and hid them in his right pants pocket. Woodley tried to leave the store without paying before security stopped him and held him for police, the report said.

He was charged with petty larceny, a misdemeanor, and was held for an appearance in City Court.
