Hastings Man Reported Missing Found Unharmed

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- A Hastings-on-Hudson man reported missing by his family on Tuesday, Aug. 19 after he had not been heard from for more than a week, has been located and is safe, according to Hastings Police.

Family members of Carl Van Dekker reported him missing when they had not seen him since Aug. 10. There were no more details available Wednesday.

Police received a report of a missing person from Van Dekker's family members on Monday, Aug. 18.

Van Dekker, 36, had last been seen by family members on Sunday, Aug. 10, in the afternoon and was wearing a light colored shirt, pink and blue plaid shorts and flip flops.  

Van Dekker was said to have been travelling to Captain Lawrence Brewing Company at 444 Saw Mill Road, Elmsford. He was operating a 1996 Chrysler Sebring green convertible.
