Former Elmsford Police Officer Charged With Shoplifting

ELMSFORD, N.Y. – A former Elmsford police officer is facing shoplifting charges after allegedly taking more than $400 of groceries from a Greenburgh supermarket in October, according to LoHud.com.

A former Elmsford Police Department officer was arrested for shoplifting at the Stop & Shop in Greenburgh in October.

Mark Danuff, 48, of Greenburgh left the Stop & Shop without paying for roughly $428 of groceries.

Danuff retired from the Elmsford Police Department in 2010, causing controversy over using accrued vacation and sick time to hit the levels needed for a full pension before retirement.
