Croton Train Victim, 19, Identified

CROTON-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. -- The 19-year-old who was hit by a train at the Croton-Harmon train station Tuesday afternoon has been identified as John Intrieri, a Croton resident.

Metro North confirmed his identity Wednesday morning. 

The incident occurred at 3:45 p.m. and police finished their investigation a little after 7 p.m.,  according to Aaron Donovan, a spokesman for MTA.

Donovan said they do not know what caused the man to be on the tracks. Meredith Daniel, an MTA spokeswoman, said the investigation is ongoing, but no criminality was suspected.

Intrieri was a 2014 graduate of Croton Harmon High School
