Sean A. Brown, of 27 Faith Lane, turned himself in to Greenwich police on Sept. 22 and was charged with first-degree kidnapping and operating a motor vehicle without a license. Bond was set at $150,000, and he appeared in court the next day.

The victim called police at 5:20 a.m. Sept. 19 to say she was being kidnapped by Brown and that they were driving to New York, police said.

Officers could hear her screaming and pleading with Brown to let her out of the car, police said. Eventually he relented when she said she would not file a report with police, according to police reports.

A witness said the couple had been arguing before the incident, police said.
