WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – A Stamford, Conn. woman was arrested and charged with stealing 43 items, totaling $545, from Walmart, according to a police report.

Rose Knapp, 34, took the items from numerous departments within the store Wednesday night, then tried to hide them in her baby stroller and leave, the report said. Store security stopped her and took her into custody until police arrived.

She was arrested and charged with petit larceny, a misdemeanor, and held on $500 bail.

Earlier that day, police responded to another report of shoplifting at Macy’s. They arrested Ariel Snipe and also charged her with petit larceny for allegedly stealing three articles of clothing worth $79.

Macy’s loss prevention agent told police he saw the Yonkers resident, 20, enter the junior’s sportswear department and take the items and hide them in a multi-colored hand bag. Security stopped her as she tried to leave, police said. Snipe was held on $500 bail.
