WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- Stephen Christos, 88, died on Saturday, April 23, in White Plains.
He was born Aug. 18, 1927, to Stylianos (Steve) and Helen Christos in Nyack.
On Aug. 22, 1964, he married Diane Russo in White Plains. Christos was an instrumental music teacher in the Chappaqua and Briarcliff school districts for many years. He was a skilled musician and played in many bands and orchestras.
Survivors include his wife; his two sons, David Christos of Silver Spring, Md. and Paul Christos of Fresh Meadows, N.Y.; and two grandchildren Sarah and Vanessa
He was preceded in death by one brother Alex Christos; and one sister Dorothy Larson.
A time of gathering will be held Friday April 29, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Ballard-Durand Funeral Home, 2 Maple Ave. in White Plains. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 30, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in White Plains.
