Salvatore F. Magistro, 83, Of White Plains, Korean War Veteran

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. - Salvatore F. Magistro of White Plains, formerly of Crestwood, died Nov. 13. He was 83.

Magistro was born Feb. 4, 1930, in the Bronx, to Angelina (Civile) and Frank Magistro. He attended New York University and was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was the owner and president of Star Lathing & Furring, Inc., Gun Hill Building Supplies and Magro Realty, Bronx.

Magistro is survived by his wife, Rose (Bellavia); children, Angela (Kenneth) Palmer of Glen Rock, N.J., Ann (Jeffrey) Shapiro of New Rochelle and Frank (Frances) Magistro of South Salem; six grandchildren; sisters, Carrie Fleisig, Yolanda Ciringione and Mary Breitenbach. He was predeceased by his parents.

Calling hours are Friday, Nov. 15 from 4 to  9 p.m. at McMahon, Lyon & Hartnett Funeral Home Inc., 491 Mamaroneck Ave., White Plains. Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 16 at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 920 Mamaroneck Ave., White Plains. Interment at Ferncliff Cemetery Association, 280-284 Secor Road, Hartsdale.
