WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. Rudolph "Rudy" N. Anderson, a lifelong resident of White Plains, died July 1. He was 65.
Born Dec. 26, 1946, Anderson attended the New York School of Visual Arts and was an artist before enlisting in the U.S. Marine Corps. He served in Vietnam from 1968 to 1969 and was decorated for his combat service.
Upon his honorable discharge, Anderson worked as an electrician. He was a lifelong member of the Disabled American Veterans and was active at the local veterans outreach center.
He is survived by a sister, Beverly (George) Kelly; two nieces and four great-nephews.
Calling hours are from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Ballard-Durand Funeral Home in White Plains. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. A private burial will follow at Kensico Cemetery.
