Rose Theresa Kireakedes, 88, Lifelong White Plains Resident

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. - Rose Theresa Kireakedes, a lifelong resident of White Plains, died Sept. 13. She was 88.

Kireakedes worked for many years in White Plains for hearing aid pioneer and innovator Sonotone, and also for Blue Coral and Waldbaums.

Kireakedes is survived by her son, Christopher; daughter, Deborah Ann (Edward); two grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Christopher G. Kireakedes; and brothers, Bartholomew II and Ambrose Locanthi and Joseph Locanthy.

Calling hours are Thursday, Sept. 19 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the McMahon, Lyon & Hartnett Funeral Home Inc., 491 Mamaroneck Ave., White Plains. Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 20 at Sacred Heart Church, 10 Lawton Ave., Hartsdale. Interment at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 10 W. Stevens Ave., Hawthorne.
