Richard W. Vanderhoff, 73, Worked For Westchester County In White Plains

LAKE CARMEL, N.Y. - Richard W. Vanderhoff of Lake Carmel died Sept. 10. He was 73.

Vanderhoff was born Nov. 30, 1940, to Henry and Helen (Walsh) Vanderhoff in Yonkers. He was a maintenance supervisor of the paint department for Westchester County, in White Plains.

Vanderhoff is survived by his wife, Maria; children, Domenica Lipton, Richard W. Vanderhoff, Jr., Veronica Croteau, Sandra Eby, and Brian Vanderhoff; sisters, Lucille Dintrone and Mary Vanderhoff; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Calling hours are Friday, Sept. 12 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Cargain Funeral Homes, Inc., 10 Fowler Ave., Carmel, NY 10512, (845)225-3672. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 13 at St. James the Apostle R.C. Church, 14 Gleneida Ave., Carmel, NY 10512. Interment to follow at Raymond Hill Cemetery.
