WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – Pietro Salvatore Monteleone of North White Plains died Nov. 17. He was 64.
Born Jan. 6, 1948, in Gerace, Reggio Calabria, Italy, he was the son of Domenico and Rosa Cusato Monteleone. He worked for the North Castle Highway Department for more than 20 years before retiring in 2009.
Monteleone is survived by his wife of 40 years, Antonia Giordano Monteleone, of North White Plains; two children, Peter (Rosa), of Valhalla, and Roseann (Michael), of North White Plains; two sisters, Maria Criniti and Josephine Remo; a brother, Salvatore Monteleone; and two grandchildren and five nieces and nephews.
Visitation is 4 to 9 p.m. Monday at Hawthorne Funeral Home . A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Name of Jesus Church in Valhalla. Entombment will be held at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne.
