Patrick Scelza, 88, Retired Duvenoy Bakery Employee In White Plains

OSSINING, N.Y. - Patrick Scelza, a longtime resident of Ossining, died April 5. He was 88.

Scelza was born Oct. 11, 1925, in New Rochelle, he was the son of Gaetano and Maria Grazia Scelza. After high school, Patrick served in the U.S. Army during World War II. After his service, he worked at General Motors for a short time. He then went on to work with Duvenoy Bakery in White Plains where he retired as a foreman.

Scelza is survived by his sons, Thomas of Croton and Glenn of Scarborough; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and sister, Yolanda Frioli of New Rochelle. He was predeceased by his wife, Edna; and daughter Patricia DeCecchis.

Calling hours are Wednesday, April 9 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Coffey Funeral Home where services will be held Thursday, April 10 at a time to be announced. Interment will follow in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery.
