Pamela L. Zawiski, 69, White Plains Resident

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- White Plains resident Pamela L. (Lamb) Zawiski died Sunday, Feb. 7. She was 69.

Born in Mount Vernon, Zawiski graduated from Mount Vernon High School and later attended Berkeley School. She worked for several years at IBM in White Plains and later as a nursery school teacher at the Church in the Highlands Early Childhood Center in White Plains for over 25 years.

Zawiski was a very active member of Our Lady of Sorrows Parish in White Plains. She was a member and past president of the Father William Dunphy Council of the Columbiettes. She was also an active member of Rocky Ledge Swimming Association in the summers. She was an avid fan and season ticket holder of the New York Giants.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Albert; son Brian and his fiancee Shannon; daughter Kathryn (Zawiski) Malizia and her husband Michael; and grandchildren Mason, Harper and Oliver.

Zawiski was predeceased by her parents, William and Helene Lamb.

A wake will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 10, from 1-4 and 6-9 p.m., at McMahon, Lyon & Hartnett Funeral Home, 491 Mamaroneck Ave., White Plains. A Mass will be celebrated at noon Thursday, Feb. 11, at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 920 Mamaroneck Ave., White Plains.
