Milton Hoffman, 86, Of White Plains; Retired Journalist

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – Milton S. Hoffman, of White Plains, died on Tuesday, April 7, 2015. He was 86.

Hoffman graduated from White Plains High School, earning induction into the school's Hall of Fame in 2001. He served in the U.S. Navy and worked as a reporter, columnist and editor for Westchester County newspapers until his retirement in December 2001.

He was predeceased by his wife, Judith Greenbaum, and their daughter, Marjorie Hoffman, and is survived by his children, Jeff Hoffman and Debbie Kaplan of Arlington, Virginia; grandchildren Dana Hoffman, Liza Gibbs, and Larissa and Sean O'Loughlin; brother Lawrence Hoffman and his wife, Myra, of Chatham, New Jersey; sister Ethel Mintz and her husband, Asher, of Lake Worth, Florida; and his companion, Marion Chason, of White Plains.
