Mary Veronica Carey, 82, Educator In White Plains At St. John's School

MORICHES, N.Y. - Mary Veronica Carey, a former resident of White Plains, died Nov. 10. She was 82.

Carey was born Aug. 24, 1931, in New York City, to James and Nora McCormack. She was an educator for St. John's School in White Plains for many years.

Carey is survived by her children, Raymond Carey of Moriches L.I., Thomas (Caroline) Carey of Saylorsburg Pa., Linda (Bill) Donoghue of Longmeadow, Mass., and Mary Beth Carey of Bronxville; sisters, Eileen Leary of Santa Monica Calif., Winifred Valcancick of Newmarket, N.H., and Julia Coffey of New Hyde Park; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond Carey.

Calling hours are Wednesday, Nov. 13 from 4 to 7 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 14 at St. John the Evangelist Church. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
