WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. - Mary Catherine Pecora of White Plains died April 10. She was 86.

Pecora was born March 28, 1927, in Yonkers. A graduate of Commerce High School, in 1945. She operated her own business in Yonkers, "Mary Medico Dressmaking, Alterations and Fashion Consulting." She taught CCD classes at OLMC, dressmaking at Greenburgh Recreation and at Macy*s White Plains where she retired after 24 years.

Pecora is survived by daughter, Maria (William) Sullivan; sons, Gennaro (Jean), and John Pecora; two grandchildren;  brothers, Louis and Dominick Medico; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She  was predeceased by her husband, Herbert R. Pecora; parents, John and Maria Domenica (De Spirito); and siblings, Leonard, Celeste (Buono) and John.

Calling hours are Friday, April 12 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Ballard-Durand Funeral Home , Elmsford.  Services are April 13 at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel (Elmsford). Interment at Ferncliff Mausoleum, Hartsdale.
