Diaz was born May 5, 1933, in Tucuman, Argentina; daughter of Maria Concepcion and Martin Diaz and moved to the U.S. in 1971.
Diaz is survived by her daughter, Marta (Rolando) Mercado; three grandchildren; and a great grandson.
Calling hours are Dec. 7 from 3 to 4 p.m. at Ballard-Durand Funeral & Cremation Services, 2 Maple Ave., White Plains, NY, US, 10601 (914) 949-0566. Funeral services are 4 p.m. Dec. 7 at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
