MANCHESTER, Vt. - Lysle Grace Crosse, a resident of Manchester Center, died Nov. 26. She was 86.
Crosse was born April 14, 1927, in New York City; daughter of Nelson and Grace (Hickey) Niblock, she graduated from Christopher Columbus High School, and earned a Bachelor of Science in Health and Physical Education from New York University and Master of Arts degrees in Education and Counseling Psychology from Manhattan College. She taught health, safety, and physical education at White Plains High School, in White Plains for over 35 years. She also taught at the New York City School for the Deaf and Florida Southern College. She was a member of the American Synchronized Aquatics Professional Performing Group, and she toured Europe and South America as a professional synchronized swimmer.
Crosse is survived by her daughter, Heather Joy Crosse of Manchester Center; son, Scott Crosse (Marcia) of Arlington, Va.; and two grandchildren.
A celebration of Crosse's life will be announced at a later date.
