Louise LeDonne, 91, Retired White Plains Teacher

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – Louise Cullo LeDonne of White Plains died Oct. 17 at her home. She was 91. 

LeDonne was born in Nov. 19, 1920, in the Bronx, N.Y., to Luigi Cullo and Cecilia Mascali. At a young age, she moved to East White Plains, where she met and later married Frank LeDonne.

She graduated from Good Counsel College and received teaching certification from the College of White Plains. LeDonne worked as a teacher in White Plains for more than 40 years. 

Her husband died in 1983.

She is survived by five children: Ritanne, of Cortlandt Manor, Marie (Eric) Strovink, of Southborough, Mass., Alex, of White Plains, Deborah (John) Donahoe, of White Plains, and Anita (George) Morris, of Carmel, N.Y.; three brothers, Leonard (Rita), Jack (Sadie) and Joseph (Maryanne) Cullo; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. 

A son, Frank Jr., died in 1965. She was also predeceased by a sister, Marie.

Visitation is from 5 to 9 p.m., Friday, at Beecher Funeral Home in Pleasantville. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Saturdaym at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in White Plains. Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Department 142, Memphis, TN 38101.
