Louis Torelli, 86, Lifelong White Plains Resident, Retired Bank Officer

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. - Louis Torelli of White Plains died April 5. He was 86.

Torelli was born in Corato, Bari, Italy, on Jan.13, 1927. He immigrated to the United States with his family as a young boy, and settled in White Plains.

Torelli served in the US Army as a dental technician and spent one year of his service in Panama. After leaving the Army, he was employed by County Trust (later Bank of New York) as a bank officer. He retired from Bank of New York in the early 1980s. He was a member of the White Plains Rotary Club for many years.

Torelli is survived by his brother, Aldo Torelli of White Plains; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Frances Roselli.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday April 8 at St. Bernard’s Church. The entombment will follow at Ferncliff Cemetery located in Hartsdale.
