WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. - Katharina Mackay, (Kathy) of White Plains died Feb. 6. She was 89.
Mackay was born April 26, 1924, in Koslar Julich, Germany; daughter of Arnold and Marie Becker. She retired from the YWCA of White Plains after 30 years of service.
Mackay is survived by her daughters, Carola Slater of Hopewell Junction and Norma (Daniel) Rutberg of White Plains; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; god children; and many friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Albert Mackay of Glasgow, Scotland.
Calling hours are Saturday, Feb. 22 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the McMahon, Lyon & Hartnett Funeral Home Inc., 491 Mamaroneck Ave., White Plains. Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22 at McMahon, Lyon & Hartnett Funeral Home Inc., 491 Mamaroneck Ave., White Plains. Interment will be private.
