WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. — June Mary Colantuno, a White Plains resident, died peacefully Monday, March 23, with family by her side. She was 82.
Colantuno was born on March 16, 1933, in White Plains to Clara and Dominick (Mimi) Borelli. She married John Colantuno at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church on June 14, 1959. She worked as a teacher's assistant and clerk-typist for the White Plains school district before her retirement.
She was predeceased by her parents and her sisters, Emanuella (Ella) DeSalvo, Sarah (Sadie) Actisdano and Diane Tremarzo. She is survived by her husband, John; and her children, John Colantuno and his wife, Theresa of Valhalla, Karen Fischer of Thornwood, Sharon Marino and her husband, John, of North Salem; and eight grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be Friday, March 27, from 3-9 p.m., and a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 28, at 9:30 a.m. at Mount Carmel Church. Interment will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
