She was born Sept. 21, 1926, in Norwalk, Conn., the first born child of Arnold E. and Esther C. Hallberg. The family moved to Mamaroneck and then to Rye while she was growing up.

She attended Oberlin College in Ohio, and met her husband Bob on the commuter train in 1947 while returning home from work in New York City to Valhalla. They were married Aug. 19, 1950, in Mamaroneck, initially lived in Hicksville, N.Y., then moved to White Plains, where they lived for 35 years.

They had three boys, Jeff was born in 1951, Keith in 1955 and Brad in 1957. Wilson was a stay-at-home mom when her three sons were young, but as the boys got older she worked part-time as a secretary then full-time as a legal secretary at Debevoise Plimpton in New York City. She was very accomplished in her work, could type more than 100 words per minute and took shorthand with ease.

She was an excellent pianist and had a very good singing voice. She also was an avid crossword puzzle solver, together with her husband. She enjoyed tennis and was active in the Daughters of the American Revolution. She survived both breast cancer and parotid gland cancer, a testament to her toughness and spirit.

She is survived by her husband, Bob, of 66 years; sons, Jeff and his wife Karen, Keith and his wife Rosemarie and Brad and his wife Jackie; brother, Vic; two nieces, Nancy and Debbie; four nephews, Chris, Jon, Steven and Tom; and three grandsons, Brett, Brock and Chad.
