WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. Joseph Claude Perri, a former White Plains resident, died July 15. He was 74.
The son of Maria Sestito Perri and Vito Perri, he was born Jan. 21, 1938 in St. Vito, Italy. Perri graduated from Archbishop Stepinac High School in White Plains in 1955. He served aboard the U.S. Cotten naval destroyer from 1955 to 1957.
Perri then attended Indiana Technical College in Fort Wayne, Ind., where he met his wife of 53 years, Bonnie L. Perri. He was the founder and president of J.C. Perri Inc. and Perri Builders Inc. Most recently of Orlando, Fla., Perri was a member of Knollwood Country Club as well as several professional and civic organizations.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie, of Orlando; a sister, Gina Celia, of St. Vito; a brother, Carl M. Perri, of White Plains; two sons, Steven J. Perri, of Orlando and R. Scott Perri, of Lake Mary, Fla.; two daughters, Vickie L. Perri, of DeLand, Fla. and Laura Elaine Perri, of Orlando; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at McMahon, Lyon and Hartnett Funeral Home in White Plains. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in White Plains. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne.
