John Lynch, 86, White Plains Navy Veteran

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – John M. Lynch of White Plains died June 20. He was 86.

He was born July 6, 1925 in Yonkers to Michael and Anna Lynch. A U.S. Navy veteran, Lynch worked for a number of local property and casualty insurance companies. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Sorrows Church for 56 years.

Lynch is survived by his wife Eileen Lynch, two sons John (Heather) Lynch Jr. and Bryan (Mary) Lynch, a daughter Patricia (Anthony) Dwyer, two sisters Mary Lynch and Dorothy McMahon and six grandchildren.

Visitation is from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at McMahon, Lyon and Hartnett Funeral Home in White Plains. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in White Plains. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne.
