John J. Mongero, 63, Worked For County Of Westchester In White Plains

CARMEL, N.Y. - John J. Mongero, a resident of Carmel for six years and formerly of Peekskill, died Sept. 15. He was 63.

Mongero was born March 24, 1950, in Peekskill, son of Michael J. and Adeline (Colucci) Mongero. He worked for the County of Westchester in White Plains, as deputy county clerk, until retiring in 2008.

Mongero is survived by his son, Brandon (Mariel) Mongero of Carmel; brother, Michael J. Mongero of Yorktown Heights; and nephew, James Byrne.

Calling hours are Wednesday, Sept. 18 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the E.O. Curry Funeral Home, Peekskill. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 19 at the Church of the Holy Spirit, Cortlandt Manor, followed by interment in the Rose Hills Memorial Park, Putnam Valley.
