WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. - James Francis Wright, Sr. died Sunday, April 7. He was 89.
Wright was born in 1924 in White Plains to Frederick Arthur and Emma Mae (Cox) Wright. He served in the Army during WWII from 1943 to 1946, as a corporal in the South Pacific with the 534th Amphibious Engineer Corp. He was employed as a master electrician with the Local 501 - IBEW in White Plains for 41 years.
Wright is survived by his children, Barabara (John) Caracciolo, Gail Criniti, James F. Wright, Jr., Cheryl (Steven) Hamilton and Kim (James ) Cardillo; seven grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; his wife, Winifred E. Preble; two grandsons; son-in-law, Dominic Criniti, Sr.; and brother and sisters.
Calling hours are Thursday, April 11 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Clark Funeral Home in Yorktown Heights. Funeral Services are Friday, April 12 at 10 a.m., at First Presbyterian Church of Yorktown. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery, Cortlandt Manor.
