Ida Kirschner, 97, Former Teacher, of White Plains

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – Ida Gershweir Kirschner of White Plains died June 24. She was 97. 

Born June 8, 1915 in New York City, Kirschner was a retired New York City elementary school teacher. 

She is survived by a son, Dr. Stephen (Linda) Kirschner; two daughters, Judith (Dr. George) Broder and Debra (Dr. Martin) Wolf; six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. 

A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Ballard-Durand Funeral Home in White Plains. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Westchester, 311 North St., Suite 204, White Plains, NY 10605, or Federation Day Care Services, 10700 Jamison Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19116.
