WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – Francis X. McGinty of White Plains, formerly of Hastings-on-Hudson, died Saturday, Sept. 15. He was 65.

Born and raised in Greenwich, Conn., he was the son of Francis and Lucille McGinty. He joined the Air Force during the Vietnam era. After his time in the service, McGinty moved to Hastings-on-Hudson and worked as an information technology recruiter.

McGinty is survived by two children, Mia (Robert) Sherno and Ryan (Tiffany) McGinty; and two grandchildren. He was predeceased by a sister, Janet McGinty.

Visitation is from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Edwards-Dowdle Funeral Home in Dobbs Ferry.  A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Pompeii Church in Dobbs Ferry.
