WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – Eleni Zopounidis of White Plains died Sept. 29. She was 84.
Born Aug. 3, 1928, in Russia, Zopounidis was a member of Church of Our Savior in Rye. She married Nikolaos Zopounidis in Greece on Aug. 22, 1955. He predeceased her.
Zopounidis is survived by three children, Eva (Bobby Sidiropoulos) Zopounidis, of White Plains, George Zopounidis, of White Plains and Harry (Athanasia) Zopounidis; a sister, Sofia Siapanides, of Harrison; five grandchildren; a niece and a nephew.
Visitation is from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday at McMahon, Lyon and Hartnett Funeral Home in White Plains. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Greek Orthodox Church of Our Savior in Rye, with the Rev. Elias G. Villis officiating. Burial will follow at White Plains Rural Cemetery.
