Edna Hunt, 100, Longtime White Plains Resident

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – Edna Hunt, a longtime White Plains resident, died Oct. 15. She was 100. 

Hunt was born March 28, 1912, to Harold John and Frances Elizabeth Borehan Lofthouse. She worked as an executive secretary for the Ethyl Corporation in New York City for 11 years. She was a member of the Our Lady of Sorrows seniors and woman's guild.  

She was also a member of the Eastern Star, Woman's Club of White Plains and White Plains Hospital Auxiliary. 

Hunt is survived by her "surrogate family," Sarah Maloney, Patrice, John, Colleen and Tara Malloy; and Mary Ellen, Kenan, Ryan and Christopher Boate; and two cousins, Betty Hughes and Carol Kearney. 

Visitation is from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at McMahon, Lyon and Hartnett Funeral Home in White Plains. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, 832 South Broadway, Tarrytown, NY 10532.
