E. Robert Giuntini, 92, Of White Plains

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – E. Robert Giuntini, of White Plains, died on Wednesday, March 16. He was 92.

Giuntini was born on Aug. 27, 1923, in Pawtucket, R.I. to Elvira and Tacito Giuntini.

He served in the Air Force during World War II, graduating from St. John's University after his service and eventually earning a law degree from St. John's University School of Law.

Giuntini began his career in insurance and entered private practice in 1961 in New York City, eventually retiring in 2013 after working in civil and criminal law.

He was an active member of the community, serving as chairman and president for various organizations and charities.

He is survived by a daughter Maureen Jarvis and her husband Bob of Wilmington, Del., a son Daniel and his wife Christie of Somers, four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and his friend Ann Kellnhauser.

Giuntini was predeceased by his wife, Elizabeth, son Robert, daughter Patricia Giuntini Loh, and sisters Ginna Duffy and Anna Ferraresi.

Visiting hours are on Friday from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Ballard-Durand Funeral Home, at 2 Maple Ave. at South Broadway in White Plains.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 9:30 a.m., at St. John the Evangelist Church, at 148 Hamilton Ave. in White Plains.

Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Valhalla.
