Dorothy Furilla, 94, Of White Plains

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – Dorothy M. Furilla of White Plains died Jan. 11. She was 94.

Furilla was born Dec. 6, 1918, in Monessen, Pa., to John and Rose Stepinac Yagunich. She was married for 74 years to Michael T. Furilla Jr., a former sergeant with the White Plains Police Department. She worked for Sonatone and G.E. during World War II.

Furilla is survived by a daughter, Gail Marie (Branko) Kraljevic, of Katonah; a sister, Violet Crawley, of New Jersey; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Her husband died in 2011 and son Kenneth, died in 1964. Two sisters, Joan and Flo; and a brother, Matt, also predeceased her.

Visitation is from 7 to 9 p.m., Monday, at McMahon, Lyon and Hartnett Funeral Home in White Plains. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday at St. Anthony of Padua Church in West Harrison. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne.
