Deacon John E. Armo, 92, Of White Plains, Supervisor At Sears Dept. Store

MAHOPAC, N.Y. - Deacon John E. Armo of Mahopac died June 26. He was 92.

Deacon Armo was born Dec. 12, 1920, to James and Prudence (Tummina) Armo in Brooklyn. During World War II, he served with the United States Marines. In 1961, after his marriage he moved to the Mahopac area to raise a family. He was a supervisor for Sears Department Store in White Plains.

Deacon Armo is survived by his children, Margie Ferrarier and James Armo; sister, Kathleen; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Margaret.

Calling hours are Friday, June 28 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Cargain Funeral Homes, Inc. , 418 US6, Mahopac, NY 10541. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 29 at St. John's the Evangelist R.C., Church, 225 East Lake Blvd., Mahopac, NY 10541. Interment to follow at Ballard Barrett Cemetery, in Mahopac Falls.
