Daniel Thomas Patrick Monohan Jr., 77, Of White Plains, Navy Veteran

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- Daniel Thomas Patrick Monohan Jr., 77, of White Plains, died Saturday, May 2.

He was born Aug. 2, 1937, in Catskill, to the late Daniel and Catherine Monohan.

He served in the U.S. Navy from 1955-1958.

Monohan earned a master’s degree in education from Cornell University, and formerly worked as an elementary school principal.

He was the founder and chief executive officer of CDT Real Estate Management in Mamaroneck.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Z. Monohan; three daughters, Sally (Scott) Hoffman, Heather (Greg) Humphrey, and Kimberly Perkins; two sons, Barry (Jennifer) Price and Daniel Monohan III; one sister, Carol (Robert) Stillinger; and 11 grandchildren.

Calling hours will be 11:30 a.m.-noon Tuesday, at the Edwards-Dowdle Funeral Home, 64 Ashford Ave., Dobbs Ferry.

Funeral services will be noon Tuesday at the funeral home.

Remembrance ceremonies will be held at the Hoffman residence after the funeral until 9 p.m. Tuesday, and 6-9 p.m. Wednesday.
