WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- Daniel M. Carey, 81, of White Plains, died Aug. 5, 2015.
He was born Nov. 16, 1933, in Manhattan, to the late Michael and Margaret Carey.
On Aug. 30, 1960, he married his wife Margaret at the Assumption Church in White Plains.
Carey worked for 37 years as a building maintenance mechanic for AT&T in White Plains, retiring in 1999. He was an usher and member of the men's club at St. John the Evangelist Church for many years. He also was an avid Giants fan.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret, of White Plains, his children, Colleen Brady and Tara Forbes, his sisters, Bernadette Brennan and Anne Powers an his 10 grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a son John Donovan.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at St. John the Evangelist Church, 148 Hamilton Ave., White Plains.
