Carmen Ana Peterson, 65, Of White Plains

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- Carmen Ana Peterson, 65, of White Plains, died Oct. 11.

She was born Feb. 26, 1950, in the Bronx, to the late Alejandro and Ana Rosa Sierra Galindez. 

She was raised and educated in the Bronx and Puerto Rico. She graduated from the College of Mount Saint Vincent. She was married to George Peterson Jr. on Aug. 14, 1981, in Mount Vernon.

She was a claims adjuster for Allstate Insurance Company in Harrison. She was a member of the Executive Women's Golf Association. 

She is survived by her husband George Peterson Jr. of White Plains; daughters Leslie Peterson-Holman and husband Derek of Clifton Park, and Stephanie Peterson of Rye Brook; brothers Jose Villa and wife Mary of the Bronx and Alex Galindez of Rio Grande, Puerto Rico; sisters Wanda Perez and husband Frank of Stormville and Vivian Sanchez and husband Armando of Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico; mother-in-law Ruby Peterson of Rye Brook and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. 

Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Thursday at Craft Memorial Home Inc. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Corpus Christi Church, 136 S. Regent St., Port Chester. Interment will follow at Greenwood Union Cemetery in Rye.
