Beryl Webster, 94, White Plains Blood Bank Worker, Gardener

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – Beryl Murrell Webster of White Plains died April 2 in Fairfield, Conn. She was 94.

The Crowley, La.-native spent most of her adult life in White Plains with her husband, William C. Webster. She moved to Connecticut six years ago to be with her family.

Webster was a court stenographer in Louisiana and later an administrative assistant in White Plains Hospital’s blood band. The avid gardener was a member of the White Plains Garden Club, the White Plains Woman’s Club, and St. Bernard’s Church.

Webster is survived by her sons, David and Gary; two grandchildren, Morgan Gotfried and Whitney Webster; and a great-grandchild, Brandyn.

Visiting hours will be 5 to 7 p.m. April 12 at the Spear Funeral home on 39 S. Benson Road in Fairfield. A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. April 13 at Kensico Cemetery in Valhalla.
