Anthony J. Ciaramella, 98, Of White Plains

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- Anthony J. Ciaramella, a longtime White Plains resident, died Tuesday. He was 98.

Born Nov. 7, 1916, in Philadelphia, Ciaramella served in the U.S. Army during World War II and later worked as a barber.

On Oct. 23, 1966, he married his wife, Ann Mondello, The couple would remain together for nearly 50 years.

Ciaramella was predeceased by his brothers, Jack Ciaramella and Arduino Ciaramell, and his sister, Rosa Porrino.

He is survived by his wife, his brother Silvio Ciaramella and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours are scheduled for 4-8 p.m. Friday at McMahon, Lyon and Hartnett Funeral Home on Mamaroneck Avenue.

A burial Mass is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 92 S. Lexington Ave. Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
