Americo Del Duca, 91, Of White Plains, Former School Crossing Guard

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – Americo Del Duca, 91, of White Plains, died Saturday, April 25.

He worked for Otis Elevator Co, was a school crossing guard at Greenacres Elementary in Scarsdales and a property clerk for the White Plains Police Department.

Survivors include one daughter, Sandy Del Duca of White Plains; one sister, Jane Holland of Sydney, Australia; and several nieces and nephews.

Five sisters, Carmella Marchesani, Lucy Duffy, Judith Dean, Marie Gentile, and Margaret Weller; and one brother, John Del Duca, preceded him in death.

Calling hours are from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at the Ballard-Durand Funeral Home, 2 Maple Ave., White Plains.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Church of St. Bernard, 51 Prospect St., White Plains.

Interment will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, 209 Truman Ave., Yonkers.
